Shape Up Neal!

Neal's class recently performed/ exhibited their physical prowess at school last week. They zen'd out with some yoga, punched and kicked their way through some kick boxing and Alabama Gal'd their way through some square dancing (Mom too!). You'll see a photo of Neal and his Mini-me hanging out at the table with his portfolio of work from the quarter. They made shape books, had Uli the Food Guy come to class, and did the exercise unit all as a part of learning about their bodies and healthy living. Ask Neal how to spell vomit or pus and he can! It is great to be 7.

the car

I got this car for Christmas and we just built it. To make it go, you have to have vinegar and baking soda. When they mixed together it made an explosion. Then the car went cheeeeewwww. It was fast.

Zoo Trip

me and my sister went to the zoo today as well as the other 5th and 6th graders
it was very fun! It was a great way to waste a day of school. On the tropical trail half of my class just sped to the end and ended up waiting for 20 minutes, i wasn't one of them though :)
there was a bear right up leaning on the glass :o wow!
it was fun

Pizza Oven Catastrophe

Our worst nightmare of Spring. Our beloved pizza oven has collapsed. Somehow the freeze and thaw and freezing rain and dripping melt got the best of the oven and the upper front portion has caved in. Our late spring will be consumed with planning and rebuilding. Making it better than before. Perhaps adding bionics (or at least better bricks) to create oven 2.0. Joel has already put his engineering brain to the task and hopefully we'll be in the pizza making business by the end of the summer.

Sadly, there will not be an oven opener on Memorial weekend this year.
